DiskSat’s alternative approach to the CubeSat combines the benefits of a containerized launch with large surface areas that can be dedicated to power generation, antennas, and/or instruments needing exposure to space. 29 Aug: Space Inventor and ENPULSION successfully positioned the world’s first nanosatellite in GEO On May 1st, GS-1 by Gravity Space, the world’s first nanosatellite destined for geostationary orbit, was launched on board a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
